What is Modern Aging Japan?

aboutMA.jpg

The silver tsunami or aging trends in Japan have been a cause for worry, leading the nation to deal with potential substantial socioeconomic burdens that the aging population places on society. Japan has since been leading the way as the world's oldest population and the country also boasts one of the longest recorded life expectancies. Modern Aging Japan is the new arm under the Modern Aging group, launched with the aim to bring together entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, investors and start-ups to learn and share about new technologies, trends and opportunities in the elder care industry. We hope that via this new platform, we can forge an entrepreneurial community that seeks to encourage business growth to support the aging population, assisting the creations and growth of new enterprises through networking and educational programs.

The previous symposiums introduced “HealthTech in both Primary and Community Care” and “Social Inclusion”. We saw many new medical related technologies and practices, some of which have already been incorporated into medical practices. This symposium was created in mind to tackle the aging situation by incorporating the insights of health care experts and spurring new intricate discussion and ideas. This sharing platform aims to facilitate information sharing, promote new technologies, services and contribute to tackling the aging crisis in Singapore, Japan and Finland.

Modern Aging China

Modern Aging China

Population aging presents a growing business opportunity in China. However, the lack of experience and understanding of the multiple needs of the elderly makes it difficult to create strong businesses in the market. Modern Aging China will help bridge this gap. The Modern Aging entrepreneurial community will organize roadshows, expert lectures, industry workshops, and online educational programs. The entrepreneurial community, called “Lechuangshe,” will connect entrepreneurs to investors and leaders in different business areas related to aging, and help spark preliminary ideas and encourage participation in the Modern Aging accelerator. The accelerator, the centerpiece of all of Modern Aging programs, will assist in the creation of new enterprises and nonprofit organizations in the aging and healthcare industry.
